Inspired by the effortless attitude of preppy icons and the atmosphere of the most exclusive universities, the MRZ collection combines heritage details and modern touches for a sophisticated yet confident look. Tailored trousers, pleated skirts and structured outerwear mix with sporty-chic details such as knitted baseball caps, wool bomber jackets and clean-cut joggers. Knitwear is the undisputed star: MRZ elegantly reinterprets diamond patterns, a symbol of tradition and craftsmanship, with buttonholes as details.
The garments are distinguished by unusual volumes, material contrasts and weaves that transform the classic into innovation. Oversize waistcoats and deconstructed cardigans with sculpted details are perfectly matched with formal shirts and check fabrics, creating a mix of elegance and casualness typical of college style.
The colour palette ranges from classic navy blue and burgundy to warm, embracing tones such as cognac and cherry. There are also vibrant colours such as cobalt blue, tangerine and biscuit that add energy and dynamism to the looks, breaking the rigidity of the minimal style with an elegant and modern twist. MRZ is the fashion brand established in 2012 by the Italian company Maglificio Tomas, founded in 1974 by the Marziali’s family. MRZ aims at an independent woman with the vocation for everything contemporary and immediate. It introduces a contemporary proposal where sportwear elements meet feminity and tailoring, together with an unusual use of the knit, the DNA of the brand. Immediately welcomed enthusiastically by the numerous buyers, in 2016 the collaboration with Tomorrow Ltd takes MRZ to the next level, positioning it in selected stores and boutiques all over the world. In July 2018 “VOGUE TALENTS” indicated MRZ as one ot the best Italian brand. In January 2019 MRZ presents the collection on the catwalk of Altaroma and, in the following season, debuts at Milan Fashion Week with the Spring Summer 2020 collection.
