From January 14 to 17, Florence’s Fortezza da Basso will once again host the winter edition of Pitti Uomo, marking the 107th iteration of the globally recognized menswear showcase. This season the spotlight turns to the Autumn/Winter 2025 collections, featuring approximately 790 exhibitors—an impressive 45% of which hail from outside Italy.

Pitti Uomo stands as more than a trade show; it’s an immersive exploration of men’s fashion and its ongoing evolution. Divided into five curated sections—Fantastic Classic, Futuro Maschile, Dynamic Attitude, Superstyling and I Go Out—the event unveils a panorama of style, innovation and boundary-pushing collaborations. Coupled with an exciting lineup of special events, the show aims to offer a dynamic perspective on the multifaceted world of menswear.

Guest Designers
This year two creative forces take center stage. Satoshi Kuwata, founder of the award-winning label Setchu, will unveil the first full-scale fashion show for his brand, renowned for its genderless, sculptural designs. Meanwhile, MM6 Maison Margiela ventures into uncharted territory with a 100% menswear collection crafted exclusively for Pitti Uomo. Both debuts promise to be highlights of the event adding fresh energy and artistic depth.

Pitti Uomo is not confined to clothing alone. The event masterfully bridges fashion, art, and photography, incorporating these disciplines into its showcases. Expect groundbreaking projects and collaborations that underscore the symbiotic relationship between style and lifestyle, further solidifying Pitti Uomo’s reputation as a crucible of creativity.
Despite a slowdown in luxury markets, Italian menswear continues to outpace its female counterpart. According to Euromonitor, the sector grew by 2% in 2024, reaching €2.2 billion and is forecasted to rise by an additional 2.6% this year. In contrast, the women’s designer apparel market, though larger, saw minimal growth. This momentum underscores an opportunity for brands capable of breaking through the noise with compelling narratives and exceptional craftsmanship.

FIRE: The Elemental Theme
The unifying motif of this season’s Pitti Uomo is FIRE, chosen to represent creativity’s transformative energy. The “I’m on FIRE” campaign, directed by Angelo Figus and visually interpreted by photographer Andrea Ariano, symbolizes warmth, inspiration and renewal—paralleling fashion’s ability to reimagine and reinvent. This theme will extend to the event’s installations, curated by Alessandro Moradei, promising an engaging sensory experience for attendees.
As menswear continues its dynamic trajectory, Pitti Uomo 107 is poised to be a significant milestone. With its blend of heritage and innovation, the event underscores Florence’s role as a global hub for style and creativity, setting the tone for what promises to be a transformative year in fashion.
